Context
Gonzher runs a fleet management and e-invoicing platform with 5,000+ active vehicles in Mexico. Clients like Merco, Sigma Alimentos, and Qualtia needed to elevate cold-chain temperature monitoring without adding hardware complexity.
The problem
Refrigerated units already had Teltonika GPS installed. Traditional solutions add more cables, devices, and failure points. For high-volume operations that was not viable. The food sector also requires temperature logs with traceability to prove the load stayed within range throughout the trip.
The solution: Teltonika EYE Sensor EN12830
The Teltonika EYE Sensor EN12830 is a wireless temperature sensor that connects to Teltonika GPS devices via Bluetooth. It installs like a small tag inside the cabin or refrigerated compartment with no extra wiring. One GPS, one sensor, real-time data.
We went beyond basic integration. We built the software layer so Gonzher can:
- Visualize real-time temperature inside the existing GPS platform.
- Generate trip-level historical logs with export and full traceability.
- Configure automatic alerts when temperature goes out of range.
- Tie each record to vehicle, route, and operator.
Why deep integration matters
We embedded temperature data into the fleet context so it is not a separate module. A customer can open a trip and see route, stops, speed, and temperature in the same view, correlated in time.
Outcome
Gonzher can offer cold-chain monitoring without changing its GPS infrastructure. Food-industry customers get EN12830-compliant logs to pass audits and quality requirements without extra processes.
